Livingstone Shire Council – Community Information Session – Future of Yeppoon’s Community Precinct

Livingstone Shire is growing, and we need to make sure our community facilities and services can continue to meet the needs of our community into the future.

Council is looking at options for the future of Yeppoon’s Library, Community Centre and broader community facilities and services. This includes looking at opportunities for library, civic and community spaces, as well as the future of the Yeppoon Showgrounds.

Over the past few weeks, Council has spoken directly with Community Centre and Showgrounds user groups to better understand how these spaces are used and what matters to the people who use them.

Now, we’re inviting the whole community to come along and find out more.

At our Community Information Session – Future of Yeppoon’s Community Precinct, you can:

See the high-level concepts being considered

Chat with Council staff, user groups, and project representatives

Ask questions about the work underway

Share your ideas and feedback

Talk about how the history, memories and sense of belonging connected to these places could be reflected in the future

No final decision has been made. This session is about sharing information, answering questions and hearing from our community as the planning work continues.
