The Practice Space. Downward Dog Lunge

May 23 @ 10:30 am
May Session – Stepping Forward
(Down Dog → Lunge)
Slow down. Ask questions. Refine your practice.
This month inside The Practice Space, we explore one of the most common transitions in yoga: stepping forward from Downward Dog into a lunge.
For many students, this movement can feel awkward, heavy, or frustrating. Together we will slow the process down and explore the mechanics behind the movement so you can better understand how your body works within the pose.
We will explore:
  • weight shifting and balance
    core engagement and lightness
    foot placement and hand support
simple ways to adapt the transition for your body
After breaking the movement down step by step, we will integrate it into a gentle, slow flow so you can experience the transition within a practice.
This session is not about advanced poses.
It is about understanding the movement, building confidence, and creating more ease in your practice.
Perfect for anyone who has ever wondered:
“Why does stepping forward feel so difficult?
