DESCRIPTION:Apparently the question of the week is…\n\n\n\n“So… what actually IS The Village Hub?”\n\n\nAnd every time someone asks us\, we realise there’s no way to answer it in one sentence \n\n\n\nBecause yes\, there’s coffee. There’s a marketplace. There are events. There are kids everywhere. You can work here. You can shop here. You can sit here.\n\n\nBut none of that is really it.\n\n\nThe actual idea behind it is pretty simple.\n\n\nWe think our intergenerational village is disappearing.\n\n\n\nOur families live hours away. Or interstate. Or sometimes family just isn’t part of the equation.\n\n\nWe have babies and discover maternity leave can involve a truly concerning amount of time talking to someone who cannot talk back.\n\n\nThen we return to work and attempt the very normal task of being a productive member of society while someone is asking for a snack every seven minutes.\n\n\n\nWe’re all carrying different amounts on different days\, but somehow we’ve built a world where everyone is expected to manage their own little island.\n\n\nWe don’t love that.\n\n\n\nSo The Village Hub is the container for the village to happen again.\n\n\nBring your baby. Bring your laptop. Bring both.\n\n\n\nCome because you need company. Come because you have capacity to give some.\n\n\nCome with your mum. Come because your mum lives 2\,000km away. Come because you don’t have that relationship at all.\n\n\nCome to work. Come to shop. Come to an event. Come for a coffee and accidentally tell someone your entire life story.\n\n\n\nKids can be kids here. You can be Mum here without apologising for it. Or interstate. Or sometimes family just isn’t part of the equation.\n\n\nWe have babies and discover maternity leave can involve a truly concerning amount of time talking to someone who cannot talk back.\n\n\nThen we return to work and attempt the very normal task of being a productive member of society while someone is asking for a snack every seven minutes.\n\n\n\nWe’re all carrying different amounts on different days\, but somehow we’ve built a world where everyone is expected to manage their own little island.\n\n\nWe don’t love that.\n\n\n\nSo The Village Hub is the container for the village to happen again.\n\n\nBring your baby. There’s a marketplace. There are events. There are kids everywhere. You can work here. You can shop here. You can sit here.\n\n\nBut none of that is really it.\n\n\nThe actual idea behind it is pretty simple.\n\n\nWe think our intergenerational village is disappearing.\n\n\n\nOur families live hours away. Or interstate. Or sometimes family just isn’t part of the equation.\n\n\nWe have babies and discover maternity leave can involve a truly concerning amount of time talking to someone who cannot talk back.\n\n\nThen we return to work and attempt the very normal task of being a productive member of society while someone is asking for a snack every seven minutes.\n\n\n\nWe’re all carrying different amounts on different days\, but somehow we’ve built a world where everyone is expected to manage their own little island.\n\n\nWe don’t love that.\n\n\n\nSo The Village Hub is the container for the village to happen again.\n\n\nBring your baby. Bring something to share (if you’d like to contribute).Weather dependant on the    and we’ll notify on this page by 5.45am for any cancellation or venue change.\n\nSchedule of Events (example):6:30 am Meditation / Yoga / Tai Chi\, etc7:30 am Dance 8:00 am Closing CircleSwim! Coffee!!\n\nThis is a special\, sacred opportunity to connect\, move our bodies\, shake our souls and start our days with high vibes and gathering with like minded souls\, honouring Mother Earth  and the Universe \nCome as you are\, absolutely no experience needed. This event is for EVERYONE; our bodies are designed to MOVE!Allow the beat\, music and nature to take over and move you freely. No instructions or steps to follow\, let your body’s knowing guide you!Bring togs and towel for a dip in the ocean afterwards! We often stay for a coffee from the Gather Coffee Van.\n\nLOCATION : Lammermoor Beach access LB10. Walk to the notth of Lioness Park to the new beach access near the Gather Coffee Van and turn right on the beach\, you’ll find us in our usual spot!).
