SUMMARY:Term 2 - Rockhampton Curious Creators: Ages 9 - 11 years Hands & Heart Kids Art
DESCRIPTION:Please take note of additional class times and creative programs for term 2!\n\nIf you are also interested in enrolling your child/teen in our new ‘Creative Fundamentals’ program alongside our Hands & Heart Sessions\, we have a special discount that can be applied at checkout. Get in touch if you have any questions.\n\nWelcome to Term 2 of Hands & Heart Kids Art! I am grateful to have the opportunity to offer this inspirational and educational container for our little budding artists.\nAim: The aim of Hands & Heart Kids Art is to provide an inclusive\, inspiring environment for all children to feel creatively confident. A space of exploration and curiosity without judgment where children learn new creative skills\, build resilience\, and connect with their peers\n\nOutcomes: Children will grow and develop not only in creativity but personal confidence\, they will have fun with their peers in a friendly\, encouraging environment.\nValues that are actively encouraged:\nEncouraging and friendly behaviorTrying new and challenging thingsCelebrating our authentic selves and each otherPatience\, tolerance\, and acceptancePracticing creative courage\n\nIn my teaching of both children and adults\, I encourage the mindset and perspective that art cannot be good or bad\, it just is. And we can learn and grow and become curious about why we do things in certain ways with our artwork but we don’t judge them. If the student enjoyed the process or learned something new then it’s a brilliant\, successful work of art.\n\nI believe in the value of this program because I was once ‘that arty kid’. Sporty kids find their tribe early and have a multitude of opportunities to learn\, as do our little musicians and dancers. Our little artists should have the same feeling of community and be given the same opportunities.\nStudents explore and learn something different most weeks with some subjects rolling over into the following week. They will receive their own visual diary at the start of each term\, they are encouraged to use their journal at home or school and bring it to class to share their work. I encourage students to share and chat about what they have created and to encourage each other in class\, fostering the mindset of appreciation and curiosity about their creations without judgment.\nAt checkout\, you can choose to pay for the term in full or pay a $40 registration fee to hold your spot then pay the remaining class price with cash on the first day or set up a recurring bank transfer throughout the term.\n\n**9 week term starting in the second week of term 2**\nSTUDIO SPROUTS: Ages 5-8TIME: Thursdays 3:30-4:30 pmCLASS DURATION: Our 2nd term is 9 weeks in total\, starting in week 2.Start Date: Thurs 30th April\, 2026CLASS SIZE: 12 students max \nCURIOUS CREATORS: Ages 9-11TIME: Tuesdays 3:30-4:30 pmCLASS DURATION: Our 2nd term is 9 weeks in total\, starting in week 2.Start Date: Tues 28th April 2026CLASS SIZE: 12 students max \nTHE MAKERS: Ages 12-17TIME: Tuesdays 4:45 – 6pmCLASS DURATION: Our 2nd term is 9 weeks in total\, starting in week 2.Start Date: Tues 28th April 2026CLASS SIZE: 12 students max \n(Age groups are flexible depending on the child. I am grateful to have the opportunity to offer this inspirational and educational container for our little budding artists.\nAim: The aim of Hands & Heart Kids Art is to provide an inclusive inspiring environment for all children to feel creatively confident. A space of exploration and curiosity without judgment where children learn new creative skills\, build resilience\, and connect with their peers\n\nOutcomes: Children will grow and develop not only in creativity but personal confidence\, they will have fun with their peers in a friendly encouraging environment.\nValues that are actively encouraged:\nEncouraging and friendly behaviorTrying new and challenging thingsCelebrating our authentic selves and each otherPatience\, tolerance\, and acceptancePracticing creative courage\n\nIn my teaching of both children and adults\, I encourage the mindset and perspective that art cannot be good or bad\, it just is. I encourage students to share and chat about what they have created and to encourage each other in class\, fostering the mindset of appreciation and curiosity about their creations without judgment.\nAt checkout\, you can choose to pay for the term in full or pay a $40 registration fee to hold your spot then pay the remaining class price with cash on the first day or set up a recurring bank transfer throughout the term.\n\n**9 week term starting in the second week of term 2**\nSTUDIO SPROUTS: Ages 5-8TIME: Tuesdays 3:30-4:30 pmCLASS DURATION: Our 2nd term is 9 weeks in total\, starting in week 2.Start Date: Tues 28th April\, 2026CLASS SIZE: 12 students max \nCURIOUS CREATORS: Ages 9-11TIME: Thursdays 3:30-4:30 pmCLASS DURATION: Our 2nd term is 9 weeks in total\, starting in week 2.Start Date: Thurs 3oth April 2026CLASS SIZE: 12 students max \nTHE MAKERS: Ages 12-17TIME: Thursdays 4:45 – 6pmCLASS DURATION: Our 2nd term is 9 weeks in total\, starting in week 2.Start Date: Thurs 30th April 2026CLASS SIZE: 12 students max \n\n(Age groups are flexible depending on the child.
