On Sunday 11 October 2026, our community will once again come together to walk, connect and support wellbeing as the Walk for Wellbeing returns to the Capricorn Coast for its fifth year.
Whether you’ve walked with us every year, have been thinking about joining us for a while, or have only just discovered the Walk, we’d love to have you alongside us.
The Walk for Wellbeing isn’t a race. There are no finishing times to beat and you don’t need to be an experienced walker.
It’s simply an opportunity to get moving, connect with others and spend a morning being part of something positive in our community.

So, what is the Walk for Wellbeing?
The Walk for Wellbeing is an annual community walk held during Queensland Mental Health Week.
We start bright and early at Rotary Park, Farnborough Beach, before making our way south along our beautiful coastline.
Along the way there are opportunities to stop, refuel, chat and simply enjoy being part of the morning.
Participants can choose the option that suits them best:
Full Walk
Farnborough Beach → Kemp Beach, with stops along the way at Ross Creek and Lammermoor Beach.
Half Walk
Farnborough Beach → Lammermoor Beach.
Our full-distance walkers finish at Kemp Beach, where everyone can come together over a BBQ before courtesy buses help get walkers back to where they need to be.

What happens on the morning?
Check-in opens from 6am, with the Walk commencing at 6.30am.
Once you’re checked in, you’ll join the rest of our walkers before we set off together.
This isn’t about how quickly you reach the other end. Walk at your own pace, have a conversation with the person beside you, take in the coastline and enjoy the experience.
That’s really what the Walk is about — connection, movement, wellbeing and belonging.
Your 2026 Walk T-shirt 👕
Our Walk shirts have become a much-loved part of the event each year, and if you’d like this year’s shirt, there is one important date to remember:
T-shirt registrations close Friday 28 August.
We need to place our shirt order well ahead of Walk day, so registrations received after this date won’t be able to order the 2026 event shirt.
You can absolutely still join us after the cut-off! Walk registrations will remain open, with a limited selection of shirts from previous years available while stocks last.
Making the Walk possible 💙
An event like this doesn’t happen without a community behind it.
We’re incredibly grateful to have Livingstone Shire Council come on board as our 2026 Event Partner, helping us continue to grow the Walk while keeping it accessible for our community.
We’re also delighted to welcome Zest back for their third year of supporting the Walk, this year as our Premium Sponsor.
And then there are the wonderful Event Supporters who help bring Walk day to life:
Aussie Gold Natural Spring Water helps keep our walkers hydrated throughout the morning.
Keppel Coaches help get everyone back to Farnborough once the walk is over, taking the stress out of participating on the day.
QCWA Yeppoon Seasiders will once again be waiting for our walkers at Lammermoor Beach, manning the snack break, serving refreshments and providing plenty of friendly encouragement along the way.
Gather 4703 have once again offered a generous discount for our walkers who may be wanting a coffee or cold drink at the snack break stop at Lammermoor Beach.
Queensland Fire & Rescue and the SES lend their support on Walk day, helping us keep our walkers safe along the route.
Together with our volunteers and everyone who lends a hand behind the scenes, each plays an important part in making the Walk possible.
It really does take a community to make the Walk happen — and we’re incredibly grateful to have this one behind us.
Community Kindness
We also believe that finances shouldn’t be the reason someone misses out on being part of the Walk.
Our Community Kindness initiative gives members of the community the opportunity to contribute towards a registration for someone who may otherwise be unable to participate.
You don’t have to be walking yourself to make a difference. A small contribution can help someone else take those steps alongside us.
Don’t want to walk but still want to be involved?
We’d love to hear from you!
There are plenty of jobs that need doing before and during the event, and volunteering is another wonderful way to be part of the Walk community without walking the kilometres.
Get in touch with The Wellbeing Hub if you’d like to lend a hand.
Ready to walk with us?
Whether you’re walking for your own wellbeing, alongside someone you care about, to meet new people, or simply because spending a morning walking our beautiful coastline sounds pretty good — there’s a place for you.
