More opportunities to move, chat and belong on the Capricorn Coast.
You told us that 12 months was too long to wait between Walk for Wellbeing events. That you loved the opportunity to get outdoors, meet new people and feel part of something. And that it would be wonderful to have more regular opportunities to connect throughout the year.
So we listened.
We recently asked our community whether monthly social walks might be something you’d enjoy, and the response was a resounding YES!
And just like that, a new little idea began taking shape.
Meet Connect for Wellbeing
We’re excited to introduce Connect for Wellbeing — the little sister of our annual Walk for Wellbeing event!
She’s a little more casual, a lot less fuss, but shares the same heart: bringing people together through movement, conversation and connection.
While Walk for Wellbeing is our big annual community event, Connect for Wellbeing offers something a little different. A simple, relaxed opportunity to come together each month, enjoy our beautiful Capricorn Coast surroundings and keep those community connections growing throughout the year.
No big production. No pressure to walk faster or further than you’re comfortable with.
Just people connecting with people.
Come for the Walk. Stay for the Connection.
We know that making new connections isn’t always easy.
Sometimes it’s difficult to know where to start, particularly if you’re new to the area, your circumstances have changed or you’re simply looking for more opportunities to meet people.
That’s why Connect for Wellbeing is designed to be welcoming, informal and easy to join.
You don’t need to be an experienced walker. You don’t need to bring a friend. And you certainly don’t need to commit to attending every month.
Come when you can, walk at a pace that suits you and enjoy the company along the way.
Because while movement is good for our wellbeing, it’s often the conversations, shared experiences and sense of belonging that make the biggest difference.
And if you’d like to linger afterwards for a coffee and a chat, we’d love that too!
Join Us for Our First Monthly Walk
We’re kicking things off in November, and we’d love you to be part of it.
📅 Date: Saturday 7 November 2026

🚶 Route: Lioness Park to Statue Bay and return (approximately 4.5km)

Our walks will take place on the first Saturday of each month, creating a regular opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and perhaps make a few new friends along the way.
Participation is free, and everyone is welcome.
We’ll share updates and reminders through The Wellbeing Hub Capricorn Coast’s social media channels and Facebook event. All the details of our first walk can be found here.
More Than Just a Walk
At The Wellbeing Hub Capricorn Coast, we believe wellbeing is about more than any one activity. It’s woven through the places we go, the people we meet and the connections we make.
Connect for Wellbeing is another small way we’re helping to create those opportunities within our community.
And while we’re starting with monthly social walks, we hope that, over time, Connect for Wellbeing may also bring people together through other shared experiences and collaborations with local businesses and community organisations.
But for now, we’re keeping things simple.
One morning a month. A beautiful coastal walk. A chance to connect.
Sometimes that’s all it takes.
Move. Chat. Belong.
Whether you’ve joined us for Walk for Wellbeing in the past or this will be your very first Wellbeing Hub experience, we’d love to welcome you.
Come on your own, bring a friend or invite someone who might appreciate a little company.
Because you don’t have to already know someone to feel like you belong.
Come for the walk. Stay for the connection.
We can’t wait to take these next steps together.
Connect for Wellbeing is an initiative of The Wellbeing Hub Capricorn Coast — a home for connection, wellbeing and belonging.
